'The Part Time Digger' is a documentary on the 3rd Divisional Signals Regiment that I served in at South Melbourne. I reinlisted after a break of 5 years from the CMF. Serving for 3 years until I had to retire due to ill health.
At the last camp attended I was the driver/operator for Maj. Gen. Vicory, the GOC 3 Div. He had a movie camera and it started an interest of now over 30 years. After I had retired from the regiment, I asked to make this film and was given the OK.

Narrated by the C.O. Lt. Col Alan Ireson.
This film is now available through the Australian War Memorial Film collection. File Number F00411
I believe there is a copy now in the Film Library of the Australian Defence Force Academy at Duntroon   ACT

It has a cast of over 400 diggers and explains the life of a CMF soldier in the sixties.
